Kristin Spellman
Assistant Teacher

Kristin Spellman brings enthusiasm, care, and a love of literacy to the Pre-K classroom. Now in her second year in early childhood education, Kristin holds a B.S. in Education with an emphasis in Special Education and a Master’s in Special Education—both from the University of Georgia. She is passionate about the Pre-K curriculum and loves guiding young learners through this exciting stage of development.

One of Kristin’s favorite parts of teaching is sharing children’s books and helping kids discover the joy of reading. You’ll often find her in the reading center, encouraging students to explore new stories and develop their confidence through books. Her favorite read-aloud is Have You Filled a Bucket Today? by Carol McCloud, a story that aligns with the kindness and positivity she brings to the classroom every day.

Outside of work, Kristin enjoys reading, going on walks, and caring for her cats. A few fun facts: she’s the middle of three sisters, has traveled to Taiwan and China, and can even whistle backwards! Above all, she hopes every child who walks through her classroom doors remembers that learning is fun.
