Liz Sherard
Pre-K Lead Teacher

With over 11 years of experience in early childhood education, Liz Sherard brings a heart full of joy and a passion for hands-on learning to the Pre-K classroom. She holds a B.S. in Elementary Education, a Master’s in Elementary Education with a focus on Special Reading, and an Education Specialist degree in Leadership. Her love for children is the heartbeat of her teaching—she delights in helping young learners grow, explore, and have fun while doing it.

Liz thrives on the enthusiasm and energy of her Pre-K students. She loves creating interactive, engaging lessons and treasures the moments of connection during circle time, where the class gathers to listen, share, and learn as a community. Whether singing songs or reading stories aloud, Liz's goal is always to make learning a joyful adventure.

Outside of the classroom, Liz is a proud mom to three daughters, ages 19, 17, and 15, who share her love for children. Her family lives on a small farm with chickens, rabbits, and pigs, and she’s originally from Chattanooga, TN. Liz finds peace and happiness in the mountains, where she enjoys hiking, camping, kayaking, paddle boarding, and biking. Her favorite children’s book is Katy No-Pocket by Emmy Payne, a story that reflects the care and creativity she brings to teaching.

Above all, Liz hopes her students remember the fun they had, the hands-on experiences they shared, and most importantly, the feeling of being loved and included every single day.
