Terri Hughes
Teacher Assistant

With 27 years of experience in early childhood education and a Child Development Associate credential, Terri Hughes brings deep expertise, creativity, and heart to the classroom. Passionate about nurturing children during their most formative years, she believes in laying a strong foundation for lifelong learning and success. Her calm presence and joyful spirit make her a cherished part of the Pre-K team.

Terri finds great joy in watching her students grow socially, emotionally, and academically. She especially loves the art center, where children express themselves freely and explore their imaginations. In her classroom, you’ll often find colorful stickers, creative crafts, and plenty of meaningful conversations. One of her favorite books to share is If Crayons Could Talk, a playful yet powerful story that encourages individuality and self-expression.

Outside the classroom, Terri enjoys crafting, collecting stickers, and photographing life’s simple moments—especially sunsets and scenes from nature. Her greatest joy is spending time with her family, especially her beloved grandson. Terri hopes every child who passes through her classroom remembers it as a safe, welcoming place where they felt seen, supported, and inspired to learn.
